World War Profiles: World War II - Germany

NAME: Samuel Müller Meyer 

TIME & PLACE: I was born and raised in Germany, specifically in Frankfurt where I am actually living right now. The year in which I am writing this report is 1938.

BIRTHDATE: I was born on April 14th, 1918 (20 years old)

PROFESSION: Right now, I am studying medicine so I can be a doctor in the near future.

FAVOURITE FOODS AND ACTIVITIES: My daily diet is basically all of my favorite plates combined but in different presentation. The meals that I love are beans, bread, eggs,  beef meat, potatoes, some biscuits and mainly tea or water. Some of my favorite activites that I do when I'm bored or with free time can be reading a book, review my notes from school because my career has gotten tough lately,  and as you can see, writing is also an activity that motivates me.

FAMILY: My family consists in my father, my mother, my aunt and my two sisters. All of them are germans and in my opinion, my family is a bit small in comparisson with other ones with at least 5 or 6 kids.

MY REGULAR DAILY LIFE: Lately, Germany has been a little tense with all of the events (lose of WWI) and people ascending to power, etc. but I think the majority of the time everything is peacefully. My rutine for my everyday is: I wake up at 6:00 am, then shower and have a little breakfast. After that, I go to school from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, next, I eat my meals, write some paragraphs for my blog and then I do my homework so I can finally rest at 10:00 pm. 

PERSONAL REASON FOR ENLISTING IN THE WORLD WAR CONFLICT ONCE IT STARTS: I would enlist to the war, mainly because I am studying medicine for a reason: help the ones in need and save lives. Personally, I enlisted because my principles and values tell me that I have to help others, also, I want to know if I can work under pressure and what is going on behind the catastrophic events. 

NATIONAL REASON FOR ENLISTING IN THE WORLD WAR CONFLICT ONCE IT STARTS: Nationally speaking, I think Germany can benefit from the fights because we can gain new territory and even allies, as well as enemies sadly. I would enlist so germans would finally see how people risk their lives for the nation and that can inspire them and make them enlist. We can show off our power and strenght and finally get the respect we deserve.

MY WORLD WAR ROLE: My war role is medic and i could not be happier. I think I can help soldiers with my role because they can see how valuable I am as a doctor and I can finally take advantage of my studies in the field. Also, I can make my nation proud by saving their soldiers and helping them in their recovery.

CONFLICT CONTEXT: Here I am, in North Africa. It is the year 1940 and I hate to say this but I think this conflict will last until 1943 aproximately, because the other ones are defending themselves pretty well. Right now, Italy is in our side (after betraying Britain and France) and we are winning but I am afraid a major conflict is coming; like a war declaration from Italy or even more attacks from the others. Personally, I am doing well physically, but mentally I don't think so, I have seen a lot of people getting hurt around here in Ethiopia.

TECHNOLOGY: I haven't seen a lot of things because I am not in the field but people had told me that there are some huge tanks that don't let Germans or Britains pass.I think they have affected the conflict in a significant way because it slow us down more and we aren't prepared for this type of tanks. I think those vehicles can help us in the future because they are massive, so strong and powerful and that can help us while being under attack or preparation and practice for another war.

CHANGE VS CONTINUITY: I think that my national and personal reasons haven't changed due to my hunch. My hunch tells me that we can show more power and that Germany cannot take more loses. Also, I think I can still prove myself that I can work well under pressure and that I will be honored as a doctor when this war ends.
